Rev. Cheryl Cloar, an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), was called to North Christian Church as the minister during this
Interim period on September 1, 2015. She lives in Bedford, IN with her husband, Alan and 2 children, Lee and Timothy. Other family members include Etta, the dog, Luna, the cat and new addition of Ripley, the hamster. Alan is pastor at First Christian Church in Bedford. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Cheryl graduated with her BA from the University of Tennessee in 1993 and graduated with her Masters of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in 2008. She has served as an Associate Minister at Central Christian Church in Indianapolis as well as on the Christian Church in Indiana regional staff, completing her regional ministry as one of the Associate Regional Ministers in December, 2015. |
Elizabeth ClarkDirector of Music
Elizabeth is a native of Durham, North Carolina and a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she earned dual Masters of Music degrees in organ and sacred music, studying with Christopher Young, and in harpsichord, studying with Elisabeth Wright.
She graduated from St. Olaf College in 2010, where she was a Regents Scholar. At St. Olaf, she studied organ with Catherine Rodland and served as a teaching assistant for music theory and as the organist of Main Street Moravian Church. She pursued additional organ study with Bjørn Andor Drage at the Music Conservatory of the University of Tromsø. Elizabeth is also the director of children’s choirs at First United Methodist Church, Columbus and an intern and scriptwriter for the early music radio program Harmonia. |
Deana BodeOffice Manager
Deana grew up in Indiana and Illinois, and she has lived in Columbus over 20 years. She and her husband Ryan reside in the family homestead that has been in Ryan’s family since 1832. She is the adoring mother of two sons, Logan and Dylan. She loves spending time with, entertaining and cooking for family and friends.
